Our Opportunity

We are currently seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer for our Practice in Bellevue, WA. In this role you will work as part of a team responsible for the inspection, analysis, and evaluation of geotechnical systems (., foundations, retaining walls, excavation support systems, levees, dams, slopes, and frequently the preparation of repair/mitigation concepts. 

You will be responsible for

  • Conducting field inspections and subsurface explorations
  • Performing geotechnical and civil engineering analyses
  • Assisting with peer review of the design and construction of geotechnical systems
  • Preparing conceptual designs for the repair/restoration of damaged geotechnical systems 

    • You will have the following skills and qualifications

  • . in Civil Engineering specializing in Geotechnical Engineering from an accredited university + 3 years of post-graduate experience
  • Alternatively, the qualified candidate may have a . in Civil Engineering specializing in Geotechnical Engineering from an accredited university + a minimum of 5 years of experience
  • . License in at least one state is required
  • Degrees, experience or related coursework in Geology/Geological Engineering, Groundwater/Surface Water Hydrology or Structural Engineering a strong plus
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills and potential to develop successful client relations
  • Attention to detail, dedication to quality and accuracy, desire to work in a fast paced environment, and effective leadership skills
  • Ability to work independently or support multiple group projects and to interact with other engineers, administrative staff, and clients
  • Ability to gather information from a wide variety of sources (., field investigations, document reviews, and interviews) and to synthesize and convey technical conclusions to individuals in engineering, business, and industry
  • Knowledge of geotechnical modeling software, graphing software, GIS, and imaging software a strong plus
