<p><b>Job Title: Senior IBM ITXA Lead</b></p> <p><b>Location: Plano, TX (Remote)</b></p> <p><b>Type: Contract </b></p> <p><b>Role Overview:</b></p> <ul> <li>Solutions and executes migration of Mainframe applications into software equivalent systems (rehosting).</li> <li>10 Years' + Relevant Experience mentioned below is Mandatory</li> <li>8 12+ years in EDI/B2B integration with 5+ years with IBM ITX/ITXA (map design, type trees, rules, deploy).</li> <li>Hands-on migration experience from Mainframe Gentran (z/OS) to ITXA on Linux</li> <li>Good knowledge ITXA components: mapping, schemas/type trees, runtime configuration, adapter/transport setup, trading partner configuration.</li> <li>Proficient with Linux administration for application runtime (services, filesystem, permissions, shell scripting).</li> <li>Familiarity with Mainframe concepts: JCL, batch scheduling, data sets etc.</li> <li>Uses knowledge of Mainframe technologies like COBOL, JCL, CICS, VSAM, Assembler, DB2, IMS, files, etc to find the right solution to migrate off the Mainframe.</li> </ul> <p><b>Requirements:</b></p> <ul> <li>Proven experience with the following practices:</li> <li>Works well with clients, their stakeholders and end users</li> <li>Experience in requirements solicitation</li> <li>Able to differentiate between needs & wants</li> <li>Experience in translating business requirements into technical requirements</li> <li>Ability to work well within the team</li> <li>Familiar with programming languages, and able to read some legacy code at a high-level to understand code rules</li> <li>Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, or equivalent</li> <li>Technical experience</li> </ul> <p><b>Preferences:</b> Knowledge of Mainframe technologies like COBOL, JCL, CICS, VSAM files, etc.</p> <p><b>Role Responsibilities:</b></p> <ul> <li>Expert experience and ability to understand of legacy and current technologies; expert ability to identify code patterns and understand coding strategies; ability to propose, design and implement migration solutions; Expert knowledge of Client tools and methodology; ability to coach and mentor the transformation of applications, using modern technologies, frameworks, and test strategies.</li> <li>Demonstrated ability to lead projects or offer programming solutions at an advanced level.</li> <li>Advanced understanding of how technology decisions relate to business needs.</li> <li>Ability to architect and design modernized systems with new technologies</li> <li>Ability to identify changes required in the Client tools and methodology to meet a particular solution or customer need.</li> </ul>
