Senior Industrial Automation Engineer

Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Industrial Automation Engineer with 7-8 years of experience in the oil & gas industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining industrial automation systems, with expertise in PLC programming, control panel design, and project lifecycle management.

Key Responsibilities:
• Design and engineer control systems for oil & gas projects
• Program and troubleshoot PLCs (Siemens, Schneider, Rockwell)
• Develop and review technical documentation including P&ID, cause and effect diagrams, and system architecture
• Design control panels (PLC/marshalling panels) and select appropriate components
• Create wiring diagrams and electrical schematics
• Conduct Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT)
• Manage full project lifecycle from design & engineering through execution, FAT/SAT, and commissioning
• Work with redundant PLC systems (hot standby, dual processor configurations)
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success
• Provide technical support during commissioning and operation phases

Technical Requirements:
• Proficiency with AutoCAD for electrical and instrumentation drawings
• Expertise in PLC/HMI/SCADA software platforms
• Strong MS Office skills for documentation and reporting
• Hands-on experience with industrial communication protocols
• Knowledge of instrumentation and control systems in hazardous areas

Project Experience:
• Minimum 7 years in oil & gas industry projects
• Experience with control system design and implementation
• Familiarity with industry standards and safety regulations
