Linum Consult’s client is a major organisation in Qatar. They are urgently seeking a Senior iOS Engineer with expertise in Swift and Objective-C to join their team in Doha.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Designing, developing, and maintaining iOS applications using Swift and Objective-C

  • Collaborating with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to deliver seamless user experiences

  • Refactoring, modernising, and optimising existing Objective-C codebases into Swift where applicable

  • Ensuring applications meet high standards of performance, security, and reliability

  • Implementing and maintaining unit tests, UI tests, and automated pipelines for app quality assurance

  • Staying up to date with the latest iOS development best practices, frameworks, and tools

  • Mentoring junior engineers, conducting code reviews, and promoting engineering excellence across the team

    • PROFILE

  • 7-8 years’ minimum experience within the IT sector in iOS development

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering or similar subject

  • Excellent expertise in Swift, with hands-on experience shipping production apps

  • Working knowledge of SwiftUI and Combine

  • Strong understanding of Objective-C and the ability to maintain or extend legacy codebases

  • Proficient in iOS frameworks (UIKit, CoreData, CoreAnimation, AVFoundation, etc.)

  • Experience with RESTful APIs and networking in mobile apps

  • Familiar with concurrency models (GCD, Operation Queues, async/await)

  • Strong understanding of memory management, ARC, and app lifecycles

  • Experienced in CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and code quality tools

  • Familiar with the App Store submission process, certificates, and provisioning profiles

  • Fluency in spoken and written English is essential
