Our client is a global consultancy seeking an experienced Java Developer, offering a 12 month rolling freelance opportunity to work within a large EU project team.
Description of Responsibilities
Develop, maintain, and operate backend software applications with a strong focus on Java across multiple versions (including legacy and modern)
Design, implement, and optimise RESTful APIs, microservices, and multi-tier backend architectures
Perform code reviews, debugging, performance optimisation, and participate in unit, integration, and acceptance testing activities
Participate in technical discussions, sprint activities, and meetings with stakeholders, including developers, project managers, and architects
Experience & Skills
Minimum 7 years of professional backend software development experience, with strong hands-on expertise across multiple Java versions (including EJBs and modern Java)
