Senior Kubernetes & Cloud Infrastructure Architect

We are seeking a Senior Kubernetes & Cloud Infrastructure Architect to design and prepare on-prem, Telco-grade multi-tenant platforms for application migration from VMware to Red Hat OpenShift/OpenStack and Wind River IaaS . The role focuses on Kubernetes architecture, advanced networking, tenant readiness , and large-scale automation.

Key Responsibilities

• Define infrastructure and tenant requirements for application onboarding and migration. Work with the client to define infrastructure requirements to prepare tenants to support target applications which will be migrated on to Red Hat OpenShift/OpenStack and Wind River IaaS Platform from VMWare.
• Produce High-Level and Low-Level Designs (HLD/LLD) for OpenShift/OpenStack tenants
• Design and support on-prem Kubernetes and cloud-native deployments
• Work with Red Hat, Wind River, RHV , and internal architecture teams
• Design and validate tenant networking with Cisco and Arista (VXLAN, underlay integration)
• Lead workshops with application owners, vendors, and operations teams
• Create Methods of Procedure (MoPs) and ensure tenants meet testing and acceptance criteria
• Align designs with automation and zero-touch provisioning frameworks
• Provide advanced troubleshooting across platform and networking layers

Required Skills & Experience

• 10+ years in infrastructure / cloud engineering, with deep Kubernetes expertise
• Strong experience designing on-prem, bare-metal Kubernetes environments
• Advanced Kubernetes networking experience, including:
• Calico, Cilium, Multus, MetalLB, Istio
• Ingress/egress flows, NAT (source NAT), traffic policies
• Expert knowledge of TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, load balancing
• Strong experience with Cisco VXLAN (NDFC) and Arista networking
• Hands-on experience with SR-IOV and DPDK
• Experience in Telco environments
• Strong troubleshooting skills using tcpdump, iptables, eBPF
• Experience preparing OpenShift / OpenStack tenants for application onboarding
• Experience with Prometheus and Grafana at tenant level
• Skilled in RHOSP, RHOSO, Satellite, Quay
• Proven experience creating HLDs and LLDs

Nice to Have

• VMware experience (vSphere, vSAN, NSX-T ) and migration to Red Hat / Wind River
• Experience with OpenShift TNC (Telco Network Cloud) reference architecture
• Storage experience with Pure Storage and Portworx
