Job Description

Objective:

As a Senior LAMP Developer, you will be responsible for writing server-side web application logic. You will develop back-end components, connect the application with other web services, and support the front-end developers by integrating their work with the application.

As a Senior LAMP Developer at Rage, you’ll get to:

  • Contribute to the software development lifecycle.
  • Build innovative, state-of-the-art applications and collaborate with the User Experience team.
  • Lead the entire web application development life cycle right from concept stage to deliver and post launch support.
  • Troubleshoot, test and maintain the core product software and databases to ensure strong optimisation and functionality.
  • Define and rollout development standards and documentation.
  • Keep abreast of new trends and best practices in web development.

    • Ideally, you should have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science with 3-5 years of hands on experience in L(A/N)MP and at least 3 years in PHP development with frameworks like Laravel/ Codeigniter.
  • Sound knowledge of Object Oriented Development (OOD) and associated Object Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts.
  • Hands on experience in programming languages for developing dynamic Web Applications.
  • An understanding of open source projects like Joomla, Drupal, Wikis, osCommerce, etc.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of web technologies including HTML, CSS, Javascript, Ajax, etc.
  • Good knowledge of relational databases, version control tools and of developing web services.
  • Experience in common third-party API’s (Google, Facebook, etc).
  • Passion for best design and coding practices and a desire to develop new bold ideas.
