Job Description

The role

involves advising stakeholders, drafting legal documents, appearing in court, briefing counsel, and running matters through the Magistrates Court. You will guide matters to commercial resolution, support team capability through mentoring, and contribute to broader business outcomes by advising on strategy and procedural improvement.

What you’ll do

  • Manage legal matters commercially and maximise defence opportunities

  • Provide strategic advice to stakeholders on overall trends and strategic change in motor vehicle litigation in addition to individual litigated matters

  • Represent Suncorp’s interests at court appearances as necessary

  • Innovate and share knowledge within a collaborative team environment

  • Support and mentor colleagues, contributing to a collaborative and connected legal team
