About This Role

Position Overview

As a Senior Lead Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, development, and implementation of engineering solutions for Food and Beverage products, focused on subsystems including Sheetmetal enclosures, fluid system, refrigeration/thermodynamic systems. You will drive collaboration with cross-functional teams, leverage technical strategy and best practices, and lead the successful execution of product design projects. In this role, you will further develop technical subject-matter expertise while contributing significantly to MFT’s growth and innovation for India Business.


Mandatory Skills:

  • Min 5 years of experience in complete product development lifecycle — from concept generation, detailed design, DfM/DfA, design validation, prototyping, testing to design release and manufacturing support.
  • Advanced proficiency in CAD modelling tools like Creo, SolidWorks for complex assemblies, tolerance stack-up analysis, and design optimization.
  • 5+ years of experience in depth understanding and applications of GD&T per ANSI Y14.5, tolerance analysis.
  • Proven experience in DFMEA, DVP&R creation, and validation testing of new designs, subassemblies and systems as per applicable standards.
  • Strong communication & interpersonal skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.

Required Qualifications

  • Graduation in Mechanical Engineering, (or equivalent work experience) with 8 -10 Years (Min 5 years of exp in product development related with beverage & food processing equipment is added advantage)
  • A seasoned, result-oriented engineer who can work independently once given direction, has good rapport with coworkers, can listen, be creative, and is detailed oriented.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with keen attention to detail, accuracy, and flexibility to adapt quickly to changing business needs and project priorities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly, collaborate effectively across functions, and work both independently and in team leadership roles.
  • Maintains a good attitude, persistence, and drive focused on finding a way to accomplish the objectives.
  • Willing to travel (local, regional, international) across innovation center, factory, supplier sites, and testing facilities. (around 30% travel may be involved).
