Job Description

  • Lead and supervise preparation of electrical design deliverables: drawings, calculations, reports, and technical specifications for traction power supply systems.
  • Specialize in DC traction systems (750V DC, 1500V DC, or similar), including feeder arrangements, substation layouts, and protection schemes.
  • Conduct and review power system studies (load flow, short circuit, harmonic analysis) for DC traction networks.
  • Ensure compliance with international standards (EN, IEC, IEEE, RDSO) and project-specific requirements.
  • Plan, monitor, and control design schedules to meet project milestones.
  • Interface with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams for design coordination and approvals.
  • Manage design changes, technical queries, and propose value engineering solutions.
  • Support procurement with technical evaluations of electrical equipment (rectifiers, switchgear, transformers, protection systems).
  • Conduct and review the BOQ, BOM for the projects.
  • Preparation and review of technical proposals, BOQ for the tendering pojects
  • Provide technical leadership in integration OCS/Third rail with traction power supply.
  • Mentor junior engineers and ensure adherence to quality and constructability standards.
