ROLE SUMMARY (Purpose of the Role)
The MEP In-Charge is responsible for overseeing the design, installation, and maintenance of the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems within a construction project. This role ensures that the MEP systems are integrated effectively, meet regulatory standards, and function efficiently within the overall infrastructure.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ ACCOUNTABILITIES

  1. Project Planning and Coordination
  2. Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to develop MEP project plans.
  3. Coordinate with various teams to ensure that MEP systems align with overall project timelines and objectives.
  4. Design Review
  5. Review and approve MEP designs to ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards.
  6. Provide feedback on design modifications and ensure they align with project requirements.
  7. Installation Oversight
  8. Supervise the installation of MEP systems to ensure they are executed according to design specifications.
  9. Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and quality of work.
  10. Quality Assurance
  11. Implement quality control measures to ensure all MEP installations meet industry standards and specifications.
  12. Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the installation process.
  13. Regulatory Compliance
  14. Ensure that all MEP work complies with local, state, and federal regulations.
  15. Prepare and submit necessary documentation for inspections and approvals.
  16. Budget Management
  17. Assist in preparing budgets for MEP systems and managing expenditures to ensure the project stays within budget.
  18. Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
  19. Client Communication
  20. Maintain regular communication with clients to update them on project progress and address any concerns.
  21. Provide expert advice on MEP systems to clients and stakeholders.

  1. Internal Stakeholder
  2. Finishing Manager
  3. Challenges in executing the work in sequential order as per methodology in coordination with Finishing Team.
  4. Interface needs to be addressed before start of the activities.
  5. Key Specialized Vendors
  6. Interaction with vendors and workmen - Work methodology
  7. External Stakeholder
  8. Customer
  9. Material approvals in line with the technical specifications. Project Delivery as per Scheduled time.
  10. Product Manufacturing Companies
  11. Product Discussions with Manufacturers and their procurement and delivery Schedule based on project timelines

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
  1. Minimum Qualifications : Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical / Mechanical
  2. Language Skills : English Hindi
  3. Years of Experience : 15-20+ years of experience in MEP works in infra projects
  4. Nature of Experience : Experience in handling metro stations and commercial buildings.
