ROLE SUMMARY (Purpose of the Role)The MEP In-Charge is responsible for overseeing the design, installation, and maintenance of the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems within a construction project. This role ensures that the MEP systems are integrated effectively, meet regulatory standards, and function efficiently within the overall infrastructure.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ ACCOUNTABILITIES
  • Project Planning and Coordination
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to develop MEP project plans.
  • Coordinate with various teams to ensure that MEP systems align with overall project timelines and objectives.
  • Design Review
  • Review and approve MEP designs to ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards.
  • Provide feedback on design modifications and ensure they align with project requirements.
  • Installation Oversight
  • Supervise the installation of MEP systems to ensure they are executed according to design specifications.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and quality of work.
  • Quality Assurance
  • Implement quality control measures to ensure all MEP installations meet industry standards and specifications.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the installation process.
  • Regulatory Compliance
  • Ensure that all MEP work complies with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Prepare and submit necessary documentation for inspections and approvals.
  • Budget Management
  • Assist in preparing budgets for MEP systems and managing expenditures to ensure the project stays within budget.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
  • Client Communication
  • Maintain regular communication with clients to update them on project progress and address any concerns.
  • Provide expert advice on MEP systems to clients and stakeholders.

  • Finishing Manager
  • Challenges in executing the work in sequential order as per methodology in coordination with Finishing Team.
  • Interface needs to be addressed before start of the activities.
  • Key Specialized Vendors
  • Interaction with vendors and workmen – Work methodology
  • External Stakeholder
  • Customer
  • Material approvals in line with the technical specifications. Project Delivery as per Scheduled time.
  • Product Manufacturing Companies
  • Product Discussions with Manufacturers and their procurement and delivery Schedule based on project timelines
  • KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
  • Minimum Qualifications : Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical / Mechanical
  • Language Skills : English Hindi
  • Years of Experience : 15-20+ years of experience in MEP works in infra projects
  • Nature of Experience : Experience in handling metro stations and commercial buildings.
