Senior Linux Engineer

We have a current opportunity for a Senior Linux Engineer , on a contract basis within the Defence sector. The role is based in Canberra, ACT . The contract is for an initial 15 month period, with a 2 x 12 month extension option .

The Linux Engineer will be responsible for, but not limited to the following duties:

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain Linux-based servers, infrastructure and software across both physical and virtual environments.
• Ensure high availability, fault tolerance, and optimal performance of critical systems.
• Design, build and implement security and network management.
• Close collaboration with engineering, DevSecOps and Environment teams to securely deploy and maintain experimental systems; contribute towards future architectural decisions.
