Role Overview:
• As Senior Manager – Finance (Revenue Assurance & Accounts Receivable), you will be responsible for end-to-end revenue assurance, billing governance, and accounts receivable management, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of revenue and collections. You will partner closely with Sales, Delivery, Legal, and Operations teams to mitigate revenue leakage, improve cash flow, strengthen controls, and ensure compliance with contractual and accounting standards.
Job Responsibilities
Revenue Assurance & Governance
• Own and strengthen the revenue assurance framework to ensure revenue is billed, recognized, and collected in line with contractual terms and accounting standards.
• Review contracts, Statements of Work (SOWs), and change orders to identify revenue risks, leakage, and billing gaps.
• Establish controls to track billable milestones, rate adherence, scope changes, and renewals.
• Partner with Sales and Delivery leaders to resolve revenue discrepancies proactively.
• Drive periodic revenue audits and variance analysis to identify trends and corrective actions.

Invoicing & Billing Oversight
• Oversee end-to-end customer invoicing operations across contract types (T&M, FTE-based, fixed price, usage-based).
• Ensure invoices are raised accurately, on time, and in compliance with contractual and statutory requirements.
• Review and approve credit notes, debit notes, and billing adjustments.
• Act as escalation point for complex billing disputes and customer queries.
• Drive billing process standardization and automation.

Accounts Receivable & Collections
• Lead accounts receivable management, including billing, collections, dispute resolution, and cash application.
• Monitor AR aging, DSO, overdue balances, and collection efficiency on a regular basis.
• Partner with business and sales teams to accelerate collections and reduce past-due receivables.
• Establish robust follow-up mechanisms and customer communication strategies.
• Recommend provisioning for doubtful debts and support bad-debt analysis.

Month-End Close, Reporting & Compliance
• Oversee month-end close activities related to revenue, AR, unbilled revenue, deferred revenue, and provisions.
• Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, and schedules.
• Prepare and present revenue assurance dashboards, AR reports, and cash flow insights to senior leadership.
• Support internal and external audits, ensuring timely availability of documentation and explanations.
• Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards (Ind AS / US GAAP / IFRS, as applicable).

Process Improvement & Team Leadership
• Lead and mentor a team handling revenue assurance, billing, and AR operations.
• Drive process improvements, automation, and system enhancements to improve accuracy and efficiency.
• Collaborate with IT/Finance Systems teams on ERP, billing tools, and reporting enhancements.
• Build a culture of strong controls, ownership, and continuous improvement.
Requirements & Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance; CA / CMA / MBA (Finance) preferred.
• 8–13+ years of relevant experience in Revenue Assurance, Billing, Accounts Receivable, or Finance Operations, preferably in IT / Analytics / Services organizations.
• Strong understanding of contract-based revenue models, billing mechanisms, and AR lifecycle.
• Hands-on experience with revenue controls, AR governance, and cash flow management.
• Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP / Oracle / Net Suite) and advanced Excel skills.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, and people leadership skills.
• Ability to operate in a fast-paced, global environment with overlapping time zones.
