Role Overview
We are hiring on behalf of a Top 10 Chartered Accountancy Firm in India for the position of Senior Manager – Statutory Audit.
This role involves leading statutory audit engagements for listed and large unlisted companies, ensuring regulatory compliance, maintaining audit quality, and managing high-performing audit teams.
The ideal candidate should have strong leadership skills, deep technical knowledge of Indian accounting and regulatory standards, and proven experience in handling complex audit assignments.
Key Responsibilities
Audit Planning & Execution
Lead statutory audits for listed and large unlisted companies in compliance with Indian regulations.
Develop audit plans, risk assessments, and audit strategies
Oversee audit execution to ensure quality, accuracy, and efficiency.
Regulatory & Technical Compliance
Ensure adherence to ICAI standards, Companies Act 2013, SEBI (LODR), RBI guidelines, and relevant regulatory frameworks.
Stay updated with changes in accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
Team Leadership & Engagement Management
Lead, mentor, and develop audit teams.
Allocate resources efficiently and ensure timely completion of engagements.
Drive technical excellence and team performance.
Client Relationship & Stakeholder Management.
Build strong relationships with clients and understand their business needs.
Present audit findings and recommendations to senior management and audit committees.
Quality Assurance & Reporting
Ensure audit quality and compliance with internal and external benchmarks.
Review and finalize audit reports, working papers, and deliverables.
Eligibility Criteria
Education
Chartered Accountant (CA)
Experience
7–10 years in statutory audit
At least 5 years in a managerial or leadership role
Experience with listed companies, large unlisted entities, and NBFCs preferred
Skills & Competencies
Strong knowledge of Ind AS, Accounting Standards (AS), Companies Act 2013, SEBI regulations, RBI norms
Excellent communication, leadership, and client-handling skills
Ability to manage multiple engagements and meet tight deadlines
Proficiency in audit tools and Microsoft Office
High ethical standards, strong attention to detail, and problem-solving ability
