Summary

 Summary of Job

  • To ensure maximized availability and smooth operation of HP/LP Steam, Power Generation System (STG & DGs) and Auxiliaries.
  • To optimize Steam and Power Generation Process for reduced cost of steam and power generation.

Key Responsibilities


(Performance Indicators)

  • Responsible for uninterrupted generation and distribution of Steam and Power to all consumers. (Increased OEE and OPE).
  • Reduction in Steam and Power Generation cost by continuous improvement in O & M activities through effective monitoring and analysis.
  • To maintain water quality within desired norms and ensure effective recovery of condensate from Boiler & TGs with treatment and re-utilization with effective recovery of heat.
  • Responsible for effective inventory management for the maintenance of utilities like cooling Tower, D.M.Plant, Boilers.
  • Responsible for documentation of records related to ISO 9000,14000 & OHSAS18001.
  • To maintain and update equipment maintenance history for preventive and breakdown.
  • Assessment for health of Boiler Pressure parts and Steam Turbines to prevent failures.
  • Liaison with Factories & Boiler Inspector and to meet related IBR regulations, legal and statutory compliance.
  • Strict adherence of EHS requirements and implementation of initiatives and recommendations in steam generation area and responsible for effective management of Fly Ash.
  • To ensure. Implementation of ISO, WCM, Zero Discharge and Safety Capacity Building initiatives.

Qualification & Experience

  • B.E. Mechanical / B.Tech – Mechanical & B.O.E. with 12-15 years of experience in power plants (Steam / gas based)

  • Projects, Operation & Maintenance Management of of HP & LP Boilers, Steam Turbine, and various utilities.
  • Well versed with IBR regulations and applicable standards, Protection & Safety Interlocks for Boiler, Turbine and DGs.

  • Effective communicator and strong Inter-personnel skills
