Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Credit Underwriter to join our Corporate Investment Banking team. The selected candidate will manage the end-to-end lifecycle of lending products and driving strategic enhancements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in the management of the entire product lifecyle along with the product documentation
  • Independently managing client relationships and interactions
  • Independently lead product demos and POCs
  • Value consulting clients for lending solutions – Spreading, Covenants, Tax Forms, Credit Memo Generation etc
  • Ideate and research on new use cases for product enhancement
  • Review, research and resolve moderately complex business challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of multiple factors
  • Perform spreading for moderate to complex business financial statements of Corporate customers
  • Review and suggest improvements for the credit memos generated for a client
  • Lead projects, teams, or serve as a mentor for less experienced staff
  • Working very closely with both business and technical teams (internal / external vendor) in developing and rolling out the automation platforms / tools across various teams

    • Core Competencies

  • Any Graduate with 12+ years of relevant experience as Credit Underwriter/Credit analysis in corporate banking
  • Credit analysis of loan collaterals to support the lending decisions
  • Financial statement analysis covering various trends including key computing ratios for leveraged loans
  • Credit Memo generation for corporate customers 
  • Understanding credit agreements of loans and summarizing key deal terms
  • Reviewing monthly client reporting to check for completeness & accuracy of financial calculations including covenants
  • Working experience on CLOS system like – nCino, CreditLens, spreading tools etc
  • Training & mentoring junior colleagues along with reviewing, checking & overseeing and undertaking workflow planning
  • Good MS Office Skills especially MS Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent Communication and interpersonal skills 
  • An eye for detail and ability to identify and solve issues effectively on time
  • Experience on working on transforming a loan journey of banks/FIs
  • Experience in product management/development will give an edge
