Senior Manager - Fabrication

Role Purpose

The Fabrication Head is responsible for leading the end-to-end aluminium and glazing fabrication operations including production of doors, windows, curtain wall systems, glass panels, powder-coated aluminium sections, and associated façade components. The role ensures timely, high-quality, and safe fabrication aligned with architectural drawings, project schedules, and site readiness.

Key Responsibilities

•Plan, schedule, and supervise the fabrication of aluminium doors, windows, glazing systems, curtain walls, and façade assemblies.

•Review architectural and shop drawings to translate specifications into fabrication plans and cutting lists.

•Ensure proper handling, cutting, and installation of glass panels and related hardware (gaskets, pressure plates, brackets, etc.).

•Supervise in-house or outsourced powder coating operations, ensuring finish quality and adhesion compliance.

•Allocate manpower and resources across workstations and shifts to meet production targets.

•Coordinate with the design, procurement, and project/site teams to ensure alignment on material requirements and delivery timelines.

•Enforce quality control at all stages—dimensional checks, surface finish inspection, joint testing, and pre-dispatch validation.

•Ensure safe handling, storage, and use of aluminium sections, glass, and chemicals (like powder coating or sealants).

•Maintain records of daily output, defects, rework, equipment usage, and team performance.

•Drive continuous improvement initiatives in cycle time, scrap reduction, layout efficiency, and skill development.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s degree (Civil/Mechanical Engineering) or technical diploma. 15+ years in structural steel or rebar fabrication, preferably in precast.Core Competencies & Skills
