Role Overview
The Professional Services Team at Basware is committed to building a global community of Accounts Payable (AP) best practice process specialists. We are looking for an experienced and visionary leader to drive this initiative at our Capability Centre in India.
As a Senior Manager, you will take ownership of regional Professional Services operations, ensuring alignment with global standards and strategic objectives. This role demands strong leadership, operational excellence, and the ability to manage complex delivery environments for global customers. You will actively contribute to the extended Professional Services leadership team and play a critical role in shaping the future of Basware’s consulting services.
Compliance Focus
This role demands a proactive approach to regulatory compliance, ensuring that all configurations, integrations, and workflows meet local statutory requirements such as e-invoicing, e-reporting, and tax mandates. The consultant will act as a trusted advisor, guiding customers through compliance best practices while embedding these requirements into the solution design and delivery process.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Business OwnershipDefine and execute regional strategy in alignment with global Professional Services objectives.Own delivery plans, staffing, utilisation, and throughput against go-live waves.Drive operational excellence through robust governance, quality gates, and rework control.Manage escalations effectively and ensure timely resolution of critical issues (Escalation Management is a key responsibility).Interface with Basware and partners on dependencies and shared PM/SA effort boundaries.Customer Success & Experience
Champion exceptional customer experiences across all engagements.Ensure delivery excellence for global customers, maintaining high satisfaction and retention.Identify opportunities for process improvement and innovation to enhance customer outcomes. Team Leadership & Development
Lead and mentor multiple consulting teams, fostering a culture of collaboration and high performance.Drive hiring, onboarding cadence, and succession planning for critical roles.Implement structured performance management and career development frameworks. Communicate and implement organisational change initiatives effectively within the region.Build strong relationships with global stakeholders and cross-functional teams to ensure seamless service delivery. Skills & Requirements
Required Skills & Qualifications
Minimum 5–8 years of management experience in Professional Services or Customer Experience, preferably in a global organisation.Proven track record of handling global customers and managing complex delivery environments.Strong strategic thinking and operational planning skills.Expertise in financial software solutions and AP processes.Exceptional leadership, change management, and stakeholder engagement capabilities.Ability to drive continuous improvement and foster innovation.Preferred Experience
Experience in managing global delivery teams.Knowledge of Basware or similar AP automation platforms.Strong strategic and operational planning skills.
