Senior Manager HR Business Partner (GCC)
Job Description:
Position Summary:
The Senior Manager, HR Business Partner (HRBP) will serve as a strategic advisor and people leader supporting multiple functions within the India Global Capability Center of Albertsons Companies, a leading U. S.-based grocery retailer. This role is responsible for driving the HR strategy for the GCC, aligning people plans with business priorities, enabling organizational effectiveness, and fostering a high-performance, inclusive, and values-driven culture.
The Sr. Manager HRBP will collaborate with leaders in both India and the U. S. to deliver an exceptional colleague experience, ensure compliance with India labor regulations, and support the GCC’s continued growth and capability maturation.
Role Responsibilities:
The Senior Manager, HR Business Partner (GCC) will be responsible for:
Strategic HR Partnership:
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders across assigned business units within the GCC.
- Translate business strategies into aligned HR initiatives to support growth, capability building, and organizational effectiveness.
- Provide data-driven insights on workforce planning, skills development, succession planning, and team performance.
Organizational Development & Talent Management:
- Lead talent reviews, performance management, and succession planning efforts for designated functions.
- Partner with leaders on skills development, learning roadmaps, leadership readiness, and coaching interventions.
- Support organizational design initiatives as the GCC expands new capabilities.
Employee Relations & Compliance:
- Oversee sensitive employee relations matters, ensuring fair, consistent, and legally compliant resolution.
- Maintain awareness of evolving India labor laws, statutory requirements, and regulatory updates impacting the GCC.
- Work closely with legal, compliance, and corporate HR teams in India and the U. S. on policy application, risk mitigation, and workforce practices.
Culture, Engagement & DEI:
- Strengthen the company’s culture and values within the GCC environment.
- Design and support employee engagement programs, manager capability development, and DEI initiatives tailored to GCC needs.
- Drive initiatives that enhance collaboration between U. S. and India teams.
Workforce Planning & HR Operations Support:
- Partner with Talent Acquisition, Compensation, and HR Operations to ensure high-quality hiring, onboarding, and employee lifecycle processes.
- Provide input on compensation benchmarking, role leveling, and rewards strategies.
- Align workforce plans with GCC growth objectives, budgets, and operational priorities.
HR Analytics & Reporting:
- Leverage HR metrics and dashboards to identify trends, diagnose organizational issues, and recommend interventions.
- Present insights to senior leadership and collaborate on continuous improvement initiatives.
Leadership & Supervisor:
- Lead and supervise a team of HR professionals (e.g., HRBPs, Coordinators) ensuring they meet performance and business partner expectations consistently with desired outcomes.
Skills & Qualifications:
We believe the successful candidate has these qualifications and experience:
- 10–14 years of progressive HR experience with at least 5+ years in an HR Business Partner capacity.
- Experience supporting global or matrixed organizations, ideally within shared services, technology, retail, or capability center environments.
- Strong understanding of India labor laws, statutory compliance, and people-related regulatory requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to influence senior leaders, drive people-centric strategies, and manage complex organizational issues.
- Proven capability in employee relations, talent management, organizational development, and change management.
- Excellent communication, consulting, and stakeholder-management skills with the ability to operate across India and U. S. time zones.
- Experience working with or supporting U. S.-based organizations.
- Exposure to the retail or consumer goods sector.
- HR certifications (e.g., SHRM-CP/SCP, HRCI, or equivalent).
- Experience in scaling HR processes and leadership programs in a GCC environment.
