Senior Manager, Insurance Strategy

Role Overview

The Head – Insurance will be responsible for leading and managing Karamtara Group’s global insurance and risk management framework. The role involves designing, placing, and servicing comprehensive insurance programs across geographies, ensuring optimal coverage, compliance with local regulations, effective claims management, and alignment with the Group’s risk appetite.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and implement the global insurance strategy aligned with corporate risk appetite and business objectives.
• Design, structure, and manage global and country-specific insurance programs across Property, CAR/EAR, Marine, P&I, CGL, D&O, Cyber, and other lines.
• Lead annual renewals and negotiations with insurers and brokers, optimizing coverage, terms, and pricing.
• Oversee employee benefits and captive insurance programs, including claims governance and performance monitoring.
• Act as senior advocate for complex global claims, directing TPAs and insurers to ensure maximum recovery.
• Review contracts, tenders, and proposals to advise on insurance coverage, indemnities, and risk mitigation.
• Drive loss prevention, claims control, and emerging risk assessment initiatives across global operations.
• Manage relationships with insurers, brokers, TPAs, and internal stakeholders, ensuring alignment and service excellence.
• Oversee insurance budgets, premium allocation, and reporting, maintaining financial control and transparency.
• Lead and develop a team of insurance professionals, fostering technical excellence and collaboration.

Desired Profile:

• 10–15 years of experience in corporate insurance and risk management
• Strong exposure to industrial, EPC, infrastructure, or manufacturing risks
• Proven expertise in global insurance programs and claims management
