Position: Procurement Manager and Leader of Procurement
Location: Maximus India
Reports to: Head of Finance

Job Summary: Maximus India is seeking a dynamic and experienced Procurement Manager to lead our procurement function. This role is pivotal in ensuring the efficient and effective procurement of goods and services, managing third-party risk assessments, and scaling our procurement operations to support our growth. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement, vendor management, contract negotiations, and compliance.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Own and execute a short-term procurement strategy aligned with Maximus India’s business objectives; define roadmap, resource plans, and success metrics.

- Directly manage and develop a team of procurement professionals; set goals, conduct performance reviews, and build succession plans to ensure long-term capability.

- Scale the procurement function to meet the evolving needs of the organization.

- Conduct thorough third-party risk assessments of vendors to ensure compliance and mitigate risks.

- Review and manage contracts, including Master Service Agreements (MSA), Statements of Work (SOW), and Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDA).

- Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.

- Optimise procurement processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with Maximus India's business goals.
  • Lead and mentor the procurement team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Scale the procurement function to meet the evolving needs of the organization.

  • Minimum Requirements

    - Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. A Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CPSM, CIPS) is preferred.

    - Minimum of 7 years of experience in procurement, with at least 5 years in a people management role preferred.

    - Proven track record in vendor management, contract negotiations, and risk assessment.

    - Strong understanding of procurement software and tools.

  • Operational Excellence:
  • Optimize procurement processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Utilize procurement software and tools to streamline operations and enhance data-driven decision-making.
  • Monitor market trends and industry best practices to keep the procurement function competitive.
  • Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. A Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CPSM, CIPS) is preferred.
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in procurement, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record in vendor management, contract negotiations, and risk assessment.
  • Strong understanding of procurement software and tools.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.

  • Minimum Salary ₹ 2,183,600.00 Maximum Salary ₹ 4,039,700.00
