Key Deliverables
1. Financial Outcomes
- Collaborate with Project Managers to define roles, responsibilities, deliverables, and timelines for STS-related areas and ensure execution.
- Validate and sign off on solution design, effort estimation, and timelines provided by service providers in SAP STS.
- Establish acceptance criteria and ensure process documentation updates and knowledge transfer from the Project team to SAP support teams for STS.
- Drive reduction in operational costs through increased efficiency, elimination of redundancies, and economies of scale.
- Optimize Source-to-Settle processes to:
- Reduce procurement costs
- Accelerate cash flows
- Lower inventory holding costs
- Improve supplier satisfaction
- Decrease days outstanding
- Mitigate risks and ensure statutory compliance and accurate financial reporting for supplier and materials management.
2. Customer Service
- Collaborate with SAP Support and Business teams to resolve critical support issues (incidents) in SAP and non-SAP landscapes.
- Enhance efficiency and effectiveness of SAP/integrated application landscape to:
- Improve product quality
- Ensure on-time, in-full deliveries
- Reduce stock-outs in production
- Streamline movement of finished products to sales locations
- Drive higher customer satisfaction through faster response times and accurate order fulfillment.
3. Internal Processes
- Own end-to-end responsibility for the STS module, maintaining up-to-date process documentation, test scripts, and training materials.
- Engage with business teams to challenge the status quo, validate and finalize new SAP STS requirements, and maintain global standard templates and best practices.
- Continuously improve STS processes to achieve best-in-class maturity levels.
- Collaborate with Operations Lead to recommend upgrades and patches for SAP.
- Work with Applications Lead to support audits and address SAP STS queries.
4. Innovation and Learning
- Commit to continuous learning to add value to the business and keep the STS function industry-leading.
- Partner with business and transformation leaders to gain deep operational insights and maintain up-to-date functional knowledge.
Critical Success Factors
Educational Qualification:
- Engineering Graduate / MBA / Post Graduate in Arts, Commerce, or Science.
Experience:
- 15 years of overall experience, including 12 years in SAP STS, QM & WM.
- Minimum 3–4 full life cycle project implementations in SAP S/4 HANA STS/QM/WM modules.
Technical Expertise:
- End-to-end STS process knowledge, including:
- Material, Vendor, Batch Management
- Purchase Requisitions, MRP configuration/execution
- Purchase Orders, Goods Receipts, Quality Inspection
- Warehouse Management, Subcontracting Purchase, Invoice Posting & Payments
- Expertise in inbound material quality management and warehouse management (EWM or LE-WM).
- Strong experience in SAP interfaces with third-party applications for sourcing plans, requirement planning, transportation management, and payment interfaces via API, EDI/IDocs with middleware platforms.
Cross-Module Knowledge:
- Good understanding of PTP, LTC, RTR processes.
- Behavioral Attributes:
- Self-motivated and thrives in an innovation-led environment.
Domain Knowledge:
- Preferred 2–3 years of procurement and inbound supply chain experience.
Desirable Success Factors
- Experience in FMCG, CPG, Pharma, or Automobile industries.
- Exposure to small to mid-scale MNC organizations.
- Strong skills in designing scalable and maintainable integration architectures to support enterprise needs.
