**Job Summary**
Provides senior technical leadership for a highly critical, enterprise-scale Payment Systems domain supporting all in-store and digital transactions. This role is accountable for the stability, performance, and evolution of a complex, vendor-led commerce platform with extensive integrations across internal systems, financial institutions, and external partners. Leads a lean internal team while exercising strong technical judgment to oversee architecture, review and challenge vendor designs, and guide strategic decision-making without direct hands-on coding.

Responsible for managing multiple bodies of work and vendor teams within the Commerce IT organization, resolving high-impact, ambiguous technical and operational issues, and balancing day-to-day system reliability with longer-term modernization, cost control, and scalability objectives.
