Role Overview

The FC Head – Operations role is responsible for managing end-to-end operations of a large-format FMCG & Grocery Fulfilment Center at Shamshabad.

This role owns execution on the ground—ensuring operational excellence across inbound, storage, picking, packing, dispatch, and returns, while delivering high SLA adherence, inventory accuracy, cost control, and people productivity.

Success in this role will be measured by SLA performance, productivity metrics, inventory accuracy, cost efficiency, safety compliance, and team stability .

Key Responsibilities

End-to-End FC Operations Management

● Own complete FC operations including inbound, storage, picking, packing, dispatch, and returns

● Manage high-SKU, fast-moving FMCG & Grocery warehouse operations

● Ensure adherence to defined SLAs, TATs, and client commitments

● Drive daily operational discipline through reviews, dashboards, and action trackers

Productivity, Cost & Performance Management

● Drive manpower productivity and optimize headcount planning

● Monitor and control operational costs including manpower, consumables, and vendor costs

● Ensure high inventory accuracy through cycle counts and process controls

● Identify continuous improvement opportunities in processes and layout

Process Adherence, Safety & Compliance

● Ensure strict adherence to SOPs, safety standards, and statutory compliances

● Drive loss prevention, damage control, and audit readiness

● Maintain warehouse hygiene, safety culture, and compliance with EHS norms

Technology & SAP Enablement

● Hands-on usage of SAP (MM / WM / EWM) for GRN, inventory management, dispatch, and MIS

● Ensure accurate system transactions and data integrity

● Coordinate with central tech teams for issue resolution and system improvements

Stakeholder & Team Management

● Lead, train, and develop warehouse leadership and frontline teams

● Manage vendors, manpower partners, and service providers

● Act as the primary point of contact for client stakeholders, transport, and planning teams

Qualifications

Educational Background

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, or a related discipline.

Experience

● 8–12 years of experience in warehouse / fulfilment center operations

● Mandatory experience in FMCG & Grocery warehouse environments

● Proven experience managing large-format, high-volume operations

● Hands-on SAP experience (Mandatory)
