Senior Manager, Software Engineering - Cloud Security

About the Role:

The Senior Manager, Software Engineering, leads the build-out, development, and management of a team of developers responsible for creating and maintaining systems, platforms, and tools that support T-Mobiles internal and external business needs. This role is critical in delivering scalable software solutions, building technical strategy, and collaborating closely with product and IT partners. The ideal candidate is a technical leader who can coach a high-performing team, drive platform improvements, and deliver robust Cloud Security and Self-Service capabilities.

What Youll Do:

• Lead and manage a team of developers by setting direction, providing coaching, and conducting performance reviews.
• Ensure project deliverables meet deadlines, quality, and budget requirements.
• Drive continuous improvement across development practices, tooling, processes, and security/compliance adherence.
• Manage technical relationships with vendors, influence roadmap discussions, and advocate for key platform features.
• Hire and onboard new talent, improve team productivity, and scale the engineering capabilities as needed.
• Deliver cloud security solutions, secure-by-design systems, and self-service capabilities using modern DevSecOps practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and IT partners across multiple ongoing projects.
• Support strategic initiatives and ensure long-term platform stability and adaptability.

What Youll Bring:

• Bachelors degree in computer science or in a computer programming related field
• 1518 years of experience in Software Development
• 7+ years of experience in managing or supervising a team of 13 - 15 developers or more. In this role, you will be leading 2 functional groups: Cloud Security & Security Self service

Must Have Skills:

• Cloud security solutions
• Secure-by-design systems
• DevSecOps practices
• CI/CD
• Experience with CNAPP platforms (e.g., Wiz, Prisma Cloud, Orca, etc.) and CSPM/CWPP principles
• Experience with SIEM/SOAR - threat detection tools

Nice To Have:

• Software Engineering, Experience in modern Mobile and Web stack (React, Node, Python etc.
• Experience in Generative AIorms (e.g., Wiz, Prisma Cloud, Orca, etc.) and CSPM/CWPP principles.
• Experience in Generative AI
