Job Summary
Byteviam Solutions Private Limited is looking for an experienced Senior Manual Tester who can ensure the quality, reliability, and stability of complex, workflow-driven software systems. This role requires a deep understanding of system behavior, business logic, and edge cases rather than surface-level testing. The Senior Manual Tester will work closely with engineers, product stakeholders, and system architects to validate real-world workflows, integrations, and data-heavy processes. The focus is on predictable system behavior, long-term maintainability, and preventing regressions as systems scale. Ownership of quality outcomes and clarity in communication are critical to success in this role.
Primary Responsibilities
- Analyze business workflows and system requirements to design comprehensive test scenarios
- Perform detailed manual testing of web applications, backend systems, APIs, and integrations
- Identify, document, and track defects with clear reproduction steps and impact analysis
- Validate system behavior across complex data flows and interconnected modules
- Collaborate closely with developers to understand system architecture and logic
- Ensure regression testing coverage as features evolve and systems scale
- Participate in requirement reviews to highlight risks, gaps, and testability concerns
- Maintain structured test cases, test plans, and documentation
- Take ownership of overall quality outcomes rather than task-level execution
Primary Skills
- Strong experience in manual testing of enterprise or custom-built software systems
- Deep understanding of SDLC, STLC, and quality assurance best practices
- Ability to test backend-heavy applications and workflow-driven systems
- Experience with API testing tools such as Postman or similar
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent defect documentation and communication skills
- Understanding of data validation and edge case analysis
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- Formal training or certification in software testing is an added advantage
Experience
- 3–7 years of experience as a Manual Tester, with senior-level responsibility in recent roles
