The Role
This role requires a detail-oriented, creative senior marketing executive with the ability to design and deliver an end-to-end marketing campaign. The individual will be digitally savvy, analytical and data oriented with a history of continuous improvement and learning from past campaign performance. Experience of marketing automation technologies would be an advantage. The candidate will also be ready to take the first step towards management in either managing or mentoring more junior members of the team.
Job Responsibilities
To work with the senior marketing manager and marketing team to deliver successful marketing campaigns for exhibitions, conferences, awards or digital products in line with agreed KPI's.
PLANNING & CAMPAIGN MANAGEMENT
Work with the marketing managers to deliver outbound marketing campaigns and event websites in line with strategic objectives.Follow and update operational implementation plans and ensure adherence to deadlines (including Gantt charts, Time & Action Plans, Content Calendars, Budget Trackers)Ensure all tracking is in place (as per Informa guidelines) and that as much of the campaign can be attributed to a channel/activity as possible. Develop ways to incentivise monitoring offline channel performanceEvaluate the performance of media, associations, industry partners and social media influencers and provide feedback/recommendations to marketing manager.Coordinate all deliverables with contras and partner marketing agreementsAnalyse previous performance and work with CRO to recommend website strategy to maximise relevant traffic and conversionIdentify the relevant audience profiles, build segments and coordinate with suppliers for the delivery of direct marketing campaignsDevelop marketing budgets in line with plans and maintain budget trackersRaise PO’s and maintain budget trackers and manage payments to suppliersANALYSIS & INSIGHT
As directed by the marketing manager, monitor campaign performance and produce relevant and timely reportsShare relevant insights with the marketing manager to drive revenues or pursue new opportunitiesAnalyse and report trends over time and use these insights to build more effective campaignsWork with data & insights team to capture relevant and timely data (onsite & post-show surveys, registration forms, industry research etc.)Work with internal teams to ensure data governance and data management policies are adhered toProvide pre-agreed reports during and post-campaign to monitor channel effectiveness and ROIUse recommended campaign analytics dashboards daily to monitor performanceBecome part of a culture of testing and metrics-driven decision making in the teamShare case studies with marketers within the team, EMEA division and Informa Markets businessMARKETING EXECUTION
Identify the target audience and key segments within the target universeDevelop personas, value propositions and messaging for each of the key segmentsSend timely, relevant communications through a designated mix of channels and optimise the effectiveness of these channelsMonitor and adjust campaign activity based on performance metricsDevelop and deliver content through selected channels (email marketing, social media, digital marketing, direct mail etc.)Build, maintain and optimise product websites and work with internal or external support teams to make advancements and maximise conversion from the sitesManage and format any external files for import into the Informa databaseEnsure all marketing collateral, email marketing, website content and digital marketing is thoroughly proofed, adheres to brand guidelines and agreed standardsManage PR agency (internal or external) with input from the marketing manager and event manager /event directorEstablish relationships with and manage strategically important partners to ensure maximum exposure at lowest cost to show budgetTEAM MANAGEMENT
Line manage or work with one or more marketing executives to execute campaigns according to the agreed planProvide guidance, feedback and inspiration to line reports/assisting teamWork with line reports & marketing team to ensure successful delivery of marketing campaigns in line with agreed KPI’s, event and divisional strategyWork with line reports (in the event of line management responsibility) to develop skills and competencies and ensure they have a clear development roadmapEnsure adoption and optimisation of marketing technology solutions, identify training needs and ensure line reports are technically proficient (in the event of line management responsibility) Reflect the high-performance culture of the marketing teamUsed LinkedIn Learning and management training courses to prepare for individual line management and managing a teamQualifications
