Senior Mechanical Engineer - Aviation

Overview We are seeking a full-time Senior Mechanical Engineer on our Aviation Product team at Garmin's U.S. headquarters in the Greater Kansas City area. In this role, you will be responsible for providing advanced engineering skills and project planning for mechanical or electromechanical solutions or systems. Essential Functions Able to complete the most difficult tasks as a Master CAD-user including the completion of complex mechanical designs Knowledge of injection molding, die casting, sheet metal stamping, machining, material requirements, material performance, material limitations, etc. Specify test plans, mock up and test complex mechanical systems with complex performance requirements to validate and verify compliance with design requirements Manage basic tradeoffs, determine risk mitigation plans, determine project goal/objective feasibility, provide technical input to product development plans/concept documents, and drive process vendors to evaluate complex mechanical desig...
