Job Summary

Synechron is seeking an experienced Senior Java Engineer to lead the development and management of scalable microservices and event-driven architectures within enterprise environments. This role involves designing high-performance solutions leveraging cloud-native technologies, automation, and emerging AI/ML tools. As a vital part of our engineering team, you will drive system reliability, security, and operational excellence, aligning technical decisions with business strategies while fostering innovation in cloud and AI integration.


Software Requirements

Required:

  • Extensive experience with Java (version 8+) and Spring Boot for building scalable, high-performance microservices (7+ years)

  • Proficiency in TypeScript , JavaScript (Node.js) , and front-end frameworks such as React (TypeScript) (highly regarded)

  • Hands-on experience designing microservices and event-driven systems utilizing Apache Kafka or RabbitMQ

  • Deep understanding of cloud platforms: AWS (EC2, Lambda, ECS/Fargate, RDS, DynamoDB, CloudFormation, CDK)

  • Practical containerization and orchestration skills with Docker and Kubernetes

  • Ability to architect, deploy, and manage CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions , TeamCity , or Octopus Deploy

  • Knowledge of observability and reliability tools: OpenTelemetry , Prometheus , Grafana , CloudWatch

  • Strong understanding of security best practices , including secrets management (HashiCorp Vault, AWS Secrets Manager) and certificate management


  • Preferred:

  • Experience integrating AI/ML technologies , particularly with large language models (LLMs) and ChatGPT

  • Exposure to model management protocols such as Model Context Protocol (MCP) or similar plugin frameworks

  • Familiarity with NoSQL databases such as DynamoDB or Cassandra

  • Architect, develop, and support microservices and event-driven applications aligned with enterprise needs

  • Deliver resilient, scalable, and secure systems with a focus on observability and operational health

  • Implement and optimize CI/CD pipelines to accelerate delivery cycles and ensure high deployment quality

  • Incorporate security , compliance , and governance standards into platform design and operations

  • Lead troubleshooting efforts for production incidents, performing root cause analysis and corrective actions

  • Collaborate with product teams, architects, and security functions to align solutions with organizational goals

  • Drive innovation by integrating AI/ML capabilities into enterprise systems for automation and support tools

  • Mentor junior engineers, promote best practices, and lead architectural reviews and technical discussions

  • Stay current with industry trends and incorporate emerging technologies to enhance platform capabilities

  • Experience Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience leading software architecture and microservices development

  • Proven expertise deploying and managing cloud-native architectures on AWS

  • Strong background in API design , event-driven systems , and distributed architectures

  • Experience integrating AI/ML models or chatbots, preferably with large language models (DL) and developer support tools (preferred)

  • Track record of working in regulated environments with security and compliance standards (banking, finance, or equivalent)


  • Day-to-Day Activities

  • Architect, build, and maintain scalable microservices and event-driven systems supporting business operations

  • Develop and optimize pipelines, APIs, and serverless functions for enterprise data and transaction processing

  • Implement monitoring solutions and perform system health checks to ensure operational reliability

  • Troubleshoot incidents, perform root cause analysis, and drive platform improvements

  • Lead platform migration, upgrade, or expansion initiatives with cross-functional teams

  • Automate deployment and infrastructure provisioning, aligning with DevSecOps practices

  • Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to ensure solutions meet strategic and compliance goals

  • Mentor junior team members, facilitate architecture reviews, and promote engineering best practices


  • Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

  • 7+ years in enterprise-scale software engineering, with focus on cloud, microservices, and secure architectures

  • Industry certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect or Kubernetes Administrator are a plus

  • Proven experience in designing systems for highly regulated industries with security and compliance considerations
