Role Summary

We are seeking a Senior Microsoft Defender Consultant to lead a short-term security transformation initiative, migrating SentinelOne to Microsoft Defender for Servers . The consultant will partner closely with project management and client stakeholders to design, validate, and prepare a scalable Defender for Server deployment across approximately 2,800 servers , fully integrated with Microsoft Defender for Cloud .

This role is consultative and hands-on, requiring strong technical expertise, clear communication, and the ability to guide stakeholders through planning and validation phases.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and execute the migration strategy from SentinelOne to Microsoft Defender for Servers
• Design a comprehensive deployment plan using native Microsoft security tooling
• Configure and validate Microsoft Defender for Server in a test environment
• Integrate Defender for Server with Microsoft Defender for Cloud
• Partner closely with Project Manager and client stakeholders to ensure alignment
• Provide technical guidance, best practices, and risk mitigation strategies
• Communicate progress, findings, and recommendations clearly to technical and non-technical audiences

Key Deliverables

• Defender for Server deployment plan
• Validated configuration for Defender for Server on a test group
• Readiness guidance for full-scale rollout across ~2,800 servers

Required Qualifications (Must-Haves)

• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Defender for Servers
• Experience migrating from SentinelOne (or similar EDR) to Microsoft Defender
• Deep knowledge of Microsoft Defender for Cloud integration
• Proven consulting experience working directly with clients and PMs
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work independently in a remote, time-bound engagement

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience securing large-scale server environments (1,000+ servers)
• Background in cloud security (Azure preferred)
• Familiarity with Microsoft security best practices and governance
