Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Network Engineer with hands-on experience in configuring, deploying, and troubleshooting enterprise network and security solutions. The ideal candidate must be proficient across multiple vendor platforms and capable of independently managing network operations without reliance on L3 or OEM support.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, configure, and maintain enterprise LAN/WAN environments across diverse vendor technologies (Cisco, Palo Alto, Fortinet, Meraki, HP Aruba, etc.).
- Implement and support SD-WAN solutions , including policy creation, tunnels, routing, failover testing, and performance optimization.
- Configure and maintain VPN solutions (client-based and site-to-site), including migration validation and performance testing.
- Implement, monitor, and tune IDS/IPS technologies for threat detection and mitigation.
- Support firewall deployments, upgrades, and rule/policy management.
- Conduct network performance assessments and troubleshoot latency, routing, and connectivity issues.
- Document network designs, configurations, test results, and change management procedures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support infrastructure projects and security initiatives.
Must-Have Skills
1. Hands-on Multi-Vendor Network Experience
- Strong configuration and troubleshooting expertise in:
- Cisco routers, switches, firewalls
- Palo Alto firewalls
- Fortinet (FortiGate) appliances
- Meraki dashboard configuration and appliances
- HP Aruba switches and wireless solutions
2. SD-WAN Experience
- Practical experience in configuring and supporting SD-WAN (Cisco, Fortinet, Meraki, or other enterprise SD-WAN platforms).
- Ability to demonstrate end-to-end deployment, routing policies, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
3. IDS/IPS Configuration
- Hands-on setup and tuning of IDS/IPS on platforms such as:
- Palo Alto Threat Prevention
- Cisco FirePOWER
- FortiGate IPS
4. Firewall Migration & VPN Administration
- Experience migrating firewalls (e.g., Cisco → Palo Alto or Fortinet) including:
- Configuration translation
- Testing and validation
- Client and site-to-site VPN testing
- Strong understanding of VPN protocols, authentication, and performance evaluation.
5. Independent Configuration Ownership
- Ability to perform device configuration without reliance on L3 or OEM support.
- Demonstrated troubleshooting capability for routing, switching, and security-event issues.
Preferred Qualifications
- 7+ years of hands-on network engineering experience.
- Certifications such as CCNA/CCNP , PCNSA/PCNSE , NSE4/5/6 , or Aruba ACMP .
- Experience with network monitoring tools (SolarWinds, PRTG, NetFlow-based tools).
- Familiarity with automation tools (Python, Ansible) is a plus.
