Job Summary:The County seeks a Senior Network Engineer to assess, document, and standardize its IP address environment. This includes reviewing the existing IP address schema, developing comprehensive documentation, recommending best practices, and providing knowledge transfer to County staff to ensure sustainable network management. The consultant will work in-office, Monday through Friday. Location:California, United States Responsibilities:
- Conduct a comprehensive review of the County’s IP addressing environment, including IPv4 and IPv6 subnets, VLANs, and address allocations.
- Identify subnet utilization, overlapping or unused IP ranges, and potential areas for standardization or optimization.
- Produce clear, accurate documentation of the County’s IP schema, including IP address inventory, gateway assignments, and network diagrams.
- Recommend a standard IP addressing and naming convention.
