Job Description
6 to 12 Years experience with at least any 4 of the below.
- Demonstrates expertise in configuring and managing BGP, implementing route filtering, and maintaining IRR/RPKI, max-prefix limits, MD5 authentication, and BFD for reliable peering.
- Shows comprehensive understanding of Layer 1, 2, and 3 protocols and technologies, including VLAN configuration, trunking, LACP for link aggregation, LLDP for network discovery, ARP for address resolution, and MAC address management.
- Exhibits in-depth knowledge of Internet Exchanges (IXs), route servers, and various peering types, understanding their roles in facilitating efficient and scalable network interconnections.
- Demonstrates deep understanding and hands-on experience with configuring and troubleshooting Layer 1/2/3 protocols and technologies, including VLANs, trunking, link aggregation (LACP), spanning tree (STP), LLDP, and BGP in a data center environment.
- Efficiently installs, replaces, and verifies hardware components such as optics, supervisor/control modules (SCM), power supplies, fans, and line cards, ensuring all installations meet operational and safety standards.
- Applies configuration templates for Top-of-Rack (ToR) and spine-leaf architectures and utilizes Zero Touch Provisioning (ZTP) pipelines to automate and streamline device onboarding and configuration.
- Diagnoses and resolves issues in data center fabric, understands failure domains, and conducts structured network testing following methodologies such as RFC 2544 to ensure reliability and performance.
- Utilizes basic automation tools for bulk device turn-ups, maintains data center infrastructure management (DCIM) records, ensures configuration compliance, and supports IPv6-only segment deployments.
