Job Description
As part of the Business Operations team at pSemi Corporation, the new product introduction (NPI) Planner is the expert of R&D material planning processes, milestones, tasks and interdependencies within the product development flow (PDF). As a member of the cross-functional team (CFT) for assigned NPI projects, the NPI Planner will work with CFT leadership and members to build a detailed material plan between departments for on-time internal and external sample execution.
Roles & Responsibilities
This position has responsibility for:
R&D material planning, scheduling, and tracking from development through production hand-offLead cross-functional material planning discussions in planning and execution phases of the PDFUse Supply Chain Planning & Sourcing capacity and lead time inputs to define inbound due dates from vendors across all manufacturing steps, identifying issues and risk mitigation in material flowIdentify critical path, and propose risk mitigation/contingency strategies for delays and shortagesDrive and track resolution of material issues, facilitating conflict resolution and initiating action to ensure next steps are identified and agreed toSetup, monitor and maintain the system to capture and track material plans and statusCommunicate status through meetings, reports and dashboards used in CFT meetings and reportsManage and track engineering material inventory, resolving discrepancies as needed with CFTManage purchase requisition/orders and reconciliation of actuals of all manufacturing stepsIdentify, propose, and lead Cross Functional Team in process improvement projects related to material planning processes and systems. Facilitate shipping process for customer Evaluation KitsParticipate in Physical Inventories and Inventory Reconciliations. Minimum Qualifications (Experience and Skills)
Typically requires 6 to 8 years of experience depending on education level and experienceExperience should be in material planning and semiconductor material planningActs independently to determine methods and procedure on new assignmentsEffective communication with all levels within the Company and with SuppliersSense of urgency to meet internal and external customer requirementsHigh level of integrity in creating and honoring commitmentsMicrosoft Office Suite experienceGood communicator, internally and with SuppliersHighly organized, detail oriented and accurate Preferred Qualifications
Experience placing purchase requisitions and orders on Enterprise Resource Planning systemExperience working with a variety of material planning and tracking tools (e.g. WorkFront, SharePoint, Agile, ERP System, Oracle)Knowledge of semiconductor planning process flow, cycle times, and yields of wafers and packaged product. Associate degree required in relevant fieldBachelor’s degree preferred in Supply Chain, Business Management, Finance or Engineering field, Work Environment
