About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Office 365 Subject Matter Expert (SME) who can own, design, and automate Microsoft 365 environments at an enterprise scale.
This is a hands-on, senior technical role suited for engineers who operate beyond day-to-day admin work and are comfortable with deep PowerShell automation, identity design, Azure integration, and operational governance .
You will work across production and production-adjacent environments, handling real-world O365 challenges, improving reliability, driving automation, and acting as a technical authority for Microsoft 365 and identity-related initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Own and operate Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, Entra ID (Azure AD), SharePoint Online, and Teams
Design, build, and maintain advanced PowerShell automation for:
User lifecycle management
Licensing and group management
Reporting and governance
Bulk operations and remediation
Manage and troubleshoot identity, authentication, and access across Entra ID and integrated services
Design and enforce Conditional Access, RBAC, and least-privilege models
Work with Azure services to support identity, automation, and integrations
Troubleshoot complex cross-service issues spanning O365, Entra ID, and Azure
Partner with security and infrastructure teams on compliance, governance, and best practices
Participate in incident response, root cause analysis, and long-term remediation planning
Produce clear, maintainable technical documentation for automation, standards, and operational procedures
Act as a senior escalation point and technical mentor when required
Required Skills & Experience
7–12 years of experience in Microsoft 365 / Identity / Cloud engineering roles
Deep, hands-on expertise with:
Microsoft 365 administration (Exchange Online, Entra ID, Teams, SharePoint)
Advanced PowerShell scripting and automation
Strong understanding of Entra ID (Azure AD) including:
Conditional Access
Identity governance
Role-based access control (RBAC)
Solid Azure fundamentals , especially around:
Identity and access
Automation and integrations
Subscription and tenant-level concepts
Proven ability to troubleshoot complex issues independently
Strong documentation and communication skills
Preferred (Nice to Have)
Experience in large-scale or multi-tenant enterprise environments
Exposure to:
Azure Automation, Logic Apps, or Azure Functions
Security, compliance, and governance in Microsoft 365
Familiarity with DevOps or Infrastructure-as-Code concepts
Experience collaborating closely with security or IAM teams
