Title: Senior Officer, Licensing & Regulations

Reports To: Principal Officer, Licensing, Regulations


Job Summary: Provide administrative and operational support, including processing of license applications, conducting compliance checks, and ensuring adherence to legal and regulatory standards governing gold-related activities.


Key Responsibilities:


• Assist with processing and documentation of licensing applications, ensuring all required documentation is complete and accurate.

• Guide applicants on regulatory requirements and procedures for obtaining a license.

• Verify applicant information, including ownership details, operational capacity, and compliance with regulations.

• Assist with conducting due diligence assessments to ensure applicants meet legal requirements for licensing.

• Monitor adherence to license conditions, including renewal timelines and operational compliance.

• Assist with enforcing regulations, including monitoring compliance with license terms.

• Assist in the preparation of regulatory documents and reports.


Qualification Required & Experience


Skills and Qualifications:


• Bachelor’s degree in Law or a related field.

• Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in a licensing or regulatory environment.

• Understanding of regulatory processes.

• Knowledge of regulatory frameworks governing the gold industry.

• Familiarity with licensing procedures and compliance standards for the gold sector.

• Strong organisational and administrative skills.

• High integrity and professionalism in handling sensitive regulatory matters.

• Attention to detail and accuracy.

• Good communication skills.
