Version 1 seeks an Oracle Senior Apps DBA Technical Consultant, with proven experience in Oracle ERP. The successful candidate will join our Bangalore-based Oracle Technical Support team, forming part of Version 1’s ERP Practice. Candidate should be customer-focused and process-driven with great documentation skills. 

The ability to prioritise effectively and work smart on several customer sites concurrently is required for this demanding and challenging role. 

Responsibilities:  

Perform standard DBA support tasks for multiple instances, multiple servers, multiple customers, and multiple interfaces including but not limited to: 

  • Perform / Manage Oracle E-Business Suite DBA managed service support including
  • Support functional team and assist in troubleshooting, debugging, and providing resolution to issues related to Interface errors
  • At least 7 years of EBS support and preferably exposure to OCI.
  • Concurrent Manager administration 
  • Request processing errors 
  • Workflows 
  • Personalization 
  • Flexfield management 
  • Support the technical design of data conversion and extensions from legacy internal and external systems into the standardized software and processes of Oracle E-Business Suite applications. 
  • Update documentation (technical documents, data mapping, TE040, etc.) for application extension updates and corrections 
  • Assist in the development of test scripts and training materials. 
  • Support of system and users after initial cutover. 
  • Certificate Management (HTTPS and Java) 
  • Online patching 
  • UNIX / LINUX Administration 
  • Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Tenancy Management 
  • PaaS/IaaS/DBaaS/ADB Cloud Management 
  • Oracle partitioning 
  • Off-hour cloning and patching 
  • Quarterly security releases and basic patches (including family packs). 
  • Deploy stop work, and emergency patches during off-hours 
  • General system and problem resolution 
  • Creation, update, and resolution of Oracle service requests (SRs) 
  • Disaster recovery support (annually) 
  • Shell Scripting 

    • Qualifications

  • A minimum of 7 years experience as a Senior Apps DBA Consultant role. 
  • Working knowledge of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Management 
  • Experience related to the maintenance of all architectural components of Oracle R12.2.x applications. 
  • Upgrade experience
  • 11i – 12.2.x,
  • 12.1.x – 12.2x 
  • 12.2.x. – latest 12.2x 
  • Demonstrated experience developing with TOAD, PL/SQL, SQL, load scripts, UNIX scripts, personalisations, and workflows. 
  • Demonstrated prior experience with Oracle Database Tuning techniques including but not limited to analysis of system memory, system disk usage, operating system performance parameters and hardware configuration. 
  • Prior experience in configuring databases, application servers, and Oracle EBS R12.2.x environment to implement including: 
  • Oracle RAC 
  • Data Guard 
  • RMAN 
  • Access Management 
  • Security 
  • Installing Patches 
  • Must understand Oracle Ebusiness Suite table structure and APIs. 
  • Prior experience in implementing or supporting Oracle applications. 
  • ITIL process Knowledge 
  • Ability to research, learn, troubleshoot, and support complex system customisations. 
  • Willingness to operate and progress in areas that are outside of previous experience. 
  • The ability to multi-task and prioritise across concurrent workloads may be required. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication

  • Technical requirements: BAM, BPM workflows, OBIEE/OBIA/OAC 
  • Oracle Cloud Infrastructure - Certification
