Senior Pipeline Engineer

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Pipeline Engineer (Mechanical) to support the delivery of pipeline engineering work on a 12-month freelance contract, operating Outside IR35. The role will focus on providing high-level mechanical pipeline expertise across design and delivery phases, working closely with multidisciplinary teams and key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver mechanical pipeline engineering activities across assigned projects
• Produce, review and approve pipeline design deliverables including calculations, specifications and reports
• Ensure designs comply with relevant codes and standards (e.g. PD 8010, ASME, API, DNV, BS EN)
• Undertake wall thickness calculations, material selection and stress analysis
• Provide technical input into route selection, constructability and installation methodologies
• Participate in HAZID, HAZOP and design review workshops
