Senior Plant Manager – Stevanato Group
Base pay: $150,000.00/yr - $200,000.00/yr. Compensation will be based on skills and experience.
The Senior Plant Manager is responsible for achieving short‑to‑mid strategic objectives while managing the P&L for production, maintenance, customer service, and supply chain. Directly reporting to the General Manager, the role maximizes process effectiveness, readiness, synergies and standardization; ensures high‑level efficiency; minimizes costs; and acts in line with applicable standards, regulations, global manufacturing practices, and corporate & local procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the functions assigned, set goals in terms of costs, time, quality, and manage resources, systems, and processes, working with enabler functions to deliver results in line with requirements, standards, targets, regulatory and procedural obligations.
- Define and monitor the production plan execution in terms of time, volumes, mix, quality and costs, reviewing and approving the local ones, according to production leaders.
- Provide effective technical resolutions for reducing complaints, increasing services, and sales demand fulfilment.
- Collaborate effectively with Quality, Tooling, Sales, and Program Management to support processes and highlight areas of improvement.
- Participate in strategy execution of objectives by translating it into actionable plans.
- Ensure effective running of processes, business continuity, and compliance in line with ISO standards, regulatory procedures, program, enabling continuous improvement mindset, process harmonization, in coordination with involved functions.
- Oversee the promptly, effectively, and efficiently corrective and preventive actions flow, coordinating the execution in compliance with applicable standards, regulatory and requirements.
- Define benchmarks and KPIs for performance and identify critical issues for corrective and preventive measures.
- Manage and propose budget, including industrial equipment CAPEX, ensure fulfilment of COGS & Capex and execution, manage the economic financial statement and capital performances according to the assigned budget.
- Plan, organize, manage, coach, and develop assigned staff, ensuring effective talent management, career path, development and training.
Education & Experience
- Engineering Degree (Bachelor/Master) or equivalent.
- Over 10 years of experience within Operations Management and/or Technical Management in the plastic sector: injection molding technologies, from initial idea to mass production; program management & product development expertise in advanced components, drug delivery and dosing systems.
Technical Competences
- Knowledge of product and production: processes and feature techniques.
- Continuous Improvement management: techniques, methodologies, and tool knowledge (Lean Management and Six Sigma).
- Data analysis and performance operations metrics: methodologies, techniques, tools and applications (KPI).
- Systems (ERP, IQMS), tools and applications for the relevant processes.
- Knowledge of applicable standards such as ISO (9001, 13485), cGMP, FDA, CFR, OHSAS.
