ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
We're looking for a Senior Policy Advisor to join our Strategy and Performance team on a 12-month fixed term parental leave contract.
As our Senior Policy Advisor, you'll be the go-to expert for policy and strategy advice. Working closely with senior management, you'll provide insights on research, program performance, and key strategic initiatives. You'll draw on your strong policy and analytical skills, communication abilities, whilst building and maintaining effective internal and external relationships.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
You're naturally curious and have a sharp eye for detail, using your analytical skills to uncover what's happening in the industry and help review performance across the organisation. You're a confident writer who can craft clear, impactful briefs, reports, proposals, and business cases, and you're comfortable responding to a variety of internal and external enquiries.
You'll also bring;
* Research and analytical skills –You have demonstrated experience in using research methods and you love turning data into actionable insights.
* Experience in policy development and strategy – Expertise in designing and developing policy – creating clear, evidence-based recommendations, crafting compelling narratives for business cases, and ensuring policies align with strategic goals and community needs.
* Great communication and interpersonal skills – You can explain complex ideas in a way that makes sense.
* Qualification: A relevant tertiary qualification (e.g., social sciences, public policy etc) and understanding of government screen industry policies and programs would be highly regarded.
* Energy: Your motivation and initiative are demonstrated in everything you do, and you will be a valued behind the scenes team member.
