Senior postgresql administrator

Location: Gurgaon, Pune, Bangalore, Chennai
Key Responsibilities:
Postgre SQL & Aurora Postgre SQL:
Architect, administer, and support Postgre SQL database environments
Manage Aurora Postgre SQL clusters, including monitoring and performance optimization
Perform user and role management , access control, and security administration
Execute database refresh activities (Production to non-production).
Monitor and tune database performance, identify bottlenecks, and resolve issues
Manage backup, restore, and point-in-time recovery strategies
Plan and execute Postgre SQL upgrades and patching.
Oracle Database:
Administer Oracle database architecture (Single Instance; RAC knowledge is an advantage)
Perform Oracle user management , roles, and privilege administration
Handle Oracle database refresh activities across multiple environments
Perform Oracle database patching in all instances.
Monitor Oracle database performance and resolve production issues
Support backup and recovery operations using RMAN
AWS & Cloud Services:
Work with AWS Database Migration Service (DMS) for data replication and migrations
Monitor database and infrastructure metrics using AWS Cloud Watch
Support databases running on EC2 instances
Collaborate with cloud, application, and Dev teams for database-related activities
Required Skills & Qualifications:
5–8 years of hands-on experience as a Database Administrator
Strong expertise in Postgre SQL and Oracle databases
Experience managing Aurora Postgre SQL in AWS
Solid understanding of database architecture and internals
Hands-on experience with user management, refresh activities, and production support
Knowledge of AWS services: DMS, Cloud Watch, EC2
Strong problem-solving and performance-tuning skills
Experience with backup, restore, and disaster recovery
