Senior Postgresql Administrator

Location: Gurgaon, Pune, Bangalore, Chennai

Key Responsibilities:

PostgreSQL & Aurora PostgreSQL:

• Architect, administer, and support PostgreSQL database environments
• Manage Aurora PostgreSQL clusters, including monitoring and performance optimization
• Perform user and role management , access control, and security administration
• Execute database refresh activities (Production to non-production).
• Monitor and tune database performance, identify bottlenecks, and resolve issues
• Manage backup, restore, and point-in-time recovery strategies
• Plan and execute PostgreSQL upgrades and patching.

Oracle Database:

• Administer Oracle database architecture (Single Instance; RAC knowledge is an advantage)
• Perform Oracle user management , roles, and privilege administration
• Handle Oracle database refresh activities across multiple environments
• Perform Oracle database patching in all instances.
• Monitor Oracle database performance and resolve production issues
• Support backup and recovery operations using RMAN

AWS & Cloud Services:

• Work with AWS Database Migration Service (DMS) for data replication and migrations
• Monitor database and infrastructure metrics using AWS CloudWatch
• Support databases running on EC2 instances
• Collaborate with cloud, application, and Dev teams for database-related activities

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 5–8 years of hands-on experience as a Database Administrator
• Strong expertise in PostgreSQL and Oracle databases
• Experience managing Aurora PostgreSQL in AWS
• Solid understanding of database architecture and internals
• Hands-on experience with user management, refresh activities, and production support
• Knowledge of AWS services: DMS, CloudWatch, EC2
• Strong problem-solving and performance-tuning skills
• Experience with backup, restore, and disaster recovery
