We are seeking a Senior Power Apps Specialist to lead the redevelopment and enhancement of critical PGA applications at our Calgary office. This role requires advanced skills in Microsoft Power Platform, particularly Power Apps and Power BI, alongside strong capabilities in documentation, requirements gathering, and cross-functional team collaboration. You will be responsible for rebuilding key applications, optimizing architectural frameworks, and supporting high-impact analytics dashboards to ensure long-term scalability and performance.
Key Responsibilities

• Rebuild and modernize existing PGA applications using Power Apps
• Develop key artifacts including requirements and design documentation for future platform support
• Enhance applications and generate supporting documentation such as checklists and review processes
• Rebuild and optimize Power BI dashboards for operational analytics and reporting
• Provide ongoing support and coverage (backfill) for re-engineered applications
• Collaborate with existing teams to refine and optimize PGA application architecture
• Participate actively in Agile ceremonies and team sessions, including Iteration Planning, PI Planning, Daily Standups, SIT/UAT Standups, and Release Planning
• Perform requirements gathering and detailed documentation
• Lead design and development of Power Apps and Power BI reporting solutions
• Support application high-level design processes
• Assist with testing phases including Functional (FIT), System Integration (SIT), and User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
• Triage and resolve bugs/defects during Hypercare and post-deployment phases
  

Technical Profile

• Proficiency in Microsoft Power Platform, especially Power Apps (Canvas and Model-driven)
• Experience with Power BI development and data visualization
• Familiarity with SharePoint integration
• Strong background in requirements documentation, design artifact creation, and Agile practices
• Understanding of application architecture optimization and platform scalability
• Capability to support full software development lifecycle, including testing and Hypercare

• Experience working within Agile environments and participating in all related ceremonies
• Ability to gather requirements from stakeholders and translate them into technical specifications
• Strong collaboration skills with development, architecture, and business teams
• Knowledge of enterprise governance and review processes
• Comfort in working in hybrid business-IT teams to drive platform success

The pay range that the employer in good faith reasonably expects to pay for this position is $39.86/hour - $62.29/hour. Our benefits include medical, dental, vision and retirement benefits.
