Senior Power Electronic Engineer - Valve Converter Engineering & Technology

Overview

This pivotal role involves the development of innovative power converters and power electronics-based equipment designs for HVDC transmission, DC grid architectures, and FACTS, ensuring optimal integration with the control and the broader power system. The successful candidate will report to the Valve Converter Electrical Team Leader, and collaborate with the power electronics valves product manager and world-class experts within the HVDC converter valve team to deliver innovative converter valve products that positively impact the business. The role offers an opportunity to innovate, expand design skills, and develop within a globally recognized expert team in HVDC and FACTS.

Responsibilities

• Design, model, analyze and validate power electronic topologies, converters and components for Voltage Source Converters (VSC) and Modular Multilevel Converters (MMC) for HVDC and FACTS applications.
