The Opportunity

:

As a Senior Application Advisor at ApplyBoard, you will play a vital role in leading and guiding students and Recruitment Partners through the selection and application processes for various loan products designed to support their educational endeavors. You will collaborate closely with recruitment partners and directly engage with students to ensure a smooth and effective loan application experience. Your specialized knowledge of financial products, excellent customer service skills, and proactive approach will significantly contribute to the success of our lending program and client satisfaction.

What you’ll be doing every day:

Strategic Application Guidance and Loan Conversion:

  • Be a lead and mentor to Application Advisors to facilitate the accurate and complete submission of applications to designated banking partners.

  • Work directly with students and RPs to facilitate the accurate and complete submission of loan applications to designated banking partners.

  • Engage in conversion optimization activities to ensure fast turnaround times, high login rates, and a high loan sanction rate.

  • Proactively follow up with students regarding processing fees and adhere to timelines to ensure timely loan disbursement.

    • Product Knowledge:

  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of all loan products offered by partner banks, including complex eligibility criteria and suitable options for diverse student profiles.

  • Stay up to date of industry trends, regulatory changes, and product offerings to provide the most accurate and relevant information to students and RPs and internal stakeholders

    • Customer Experience:

  • Deliver outstanding customer service to students and recruitment partners by addressing inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and providing support throughout the application process.

  • Develop and nurture strong relationships with RPs and students to enhance overall satisfaction and encourage repeat business and referrals.

    • RP Activation Activities:

  • Collaborate with Regional Sales Manager to create and deliver comprehensive training on ApplyBoard’s loan solutions and product offerings.

  • Actively promote various loan product lines and the ApplyBoard 360 Solution, highlighting our unique value propositions and advantages for students.

    • Reporting and Analysis:

  • Lead tracking and analyze of specific application metrics to identify trends, areas for improvement, and opportunities for enhancing the application process.

  • Prepare regular reports on loan and other financial processing statistics and customer feedback to inform decision-making and strategy development.

    • Compliance and Risk Management:

  • Ensure all applications comply with applicable regulations and internal policies to mitigate risk and implement safeguard to maintain organization’s integrity.

  • Adhere to data privacy laws and maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive student and financial information.

  • Exercise discretion and uphold confidentiality regarding sensitive student and financial information in adherence to data privacy laws.

    • What you bring to the table:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.

  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in loan advising, financial services, or a related field, with a demonstrable track record of success.

  • Strong understanding of financial products, especially student loans and educational financing.

  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively, maintaining attention to detail.

  • Proficiency in relevant software applications and CRM tools; data analysis skills are a plus.
