Enable smarter decisions through data and AI

As a Procurement Analytics - AI & Automation, you will be responsible for developing and delivering analytical and AI-driven solutions that support procurement strategy and operations. You will collaborate with global stakeholders to enrich spend data, identify savings opportunities, and implement AI use cases that enhance efficiency and compliance. Your insights will directly influence category strategies and supplier risk management.

Your responsibility will be to:

Spend Analysis and Reporting:

  • Develop analytics and reporting solutions using tools such as Qlik / Power BI, SAP Ariba data and provide insights to the Category teams 
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of spending data to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies
  • Thorough understanding of the Procurement data domain & objects and all data assets to support the users in their requests for Analytics deliverables
  • Analyse off-contract spend and identify areas of improvement to bring non-compliant spends under “Managed Spend” and drive PO compliance via Marketplace
  • Collaborate with Operational Procurement team to analyse wild invoice spend monthly
  • Analyse tail spend and present opportunities to the stakeholders

    • Procurement Automation (AI related):

  • Identify opportunities / use cases to apply AI technologies to enhance procurement efficiency, accuracy, and decision-making
  • Lead initiatives involving:
  • AI-powered spend categorization, analytics and demand forecasting
  • Supplier risk management using AI tools and models
  • Automated contract analysis AI-based tools
  • Chatbots and virtual assistants for procurement support and supplier queries.
  • Intelligent workflow automation for purchase requisitions, approvals, and invoice processing
  • Collaborate with IT team to design, test, and deploy AI-driven procurement solutions
  • Evaluate and implement AI-enabled procurement platforms and tools
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and trends in AI, procurement tech, and supply chain innovation

    • Stakeholder Collaboration:

  • Provide guidance and support in interpreting spend analytics findings and implementing recommendations
  • Highlight the benefits of AI features in the digital solutions to enhance adoption and experience

    • You will report to the Senior Manager & Head – Procurement Competence Centre and work closely with global teams. This position is based in Chennai and does not require travel.

    You also have:

  • 10–13 years of experience in Sourcing and Procurement with spend analytics
  • Practical experience with SAP Ariba and BI platforms like Qlik Sense or Power BI
  • In-depth understanding of procurement processes and data management
  • Experience in AI and automation within procurement
  • SAP MM knowledge
