Senior Procurement Engineer

Job Description:

•    Lead the procurement process for materials, equipment, and services required for projects.

•    Collaborate with engineering, project management, and operations teams to identify procurement needs and develop technical specifications.

•    Develop and implement procurement strategies, SOPs to ensure cost-effective and timely acquisition of materials, equipment, and services as required.

•    Develop supplier network PAN India for critical materials and equipment.

•    Conduct supplier evaluations, negotiations, and contract management to secure favourable terms and conditions.

•    Monitor and assist Junior procurement engineer to prepare and issue Requests for Proposals/Quotations (RFPs/RFQs), purchase orders (POs).

•    Monitor supplier performance and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.

•    Coordinate with project managers, accounts, procurement and inventory teams ensuring accuracy in payments for smooth and timely execution of projects.

•    Participate in budgeting and forecasting activities, providing insights for projects financial planning.

•    Ensure compliance with company’s financial regulations and standards

•    Maintain accurate records of procurement activities and prepare reports for management review.

Candidate Profile: 

•    Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in procurement, with a focus on the wastewater treatment industry (STPs / ETPs / WTPs)

•    Strong knowledge of procurement processes, contract management, and supplier relationship management.

•    Excellent negotiation and communication skills.

•    Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

•    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

•    Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities.

•    Proficient in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with accounting software (e.g., Tally prime) is a plus.

•    Existing supplier network in wastewater treatment industry is a plus.

Qualification: 

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
