Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role located in Chennai for a Senior Procurement Manager at SF Express (India). The Senior Procurement Manager will oversee procurement activities, including the evaluation and selection of suppliers, contract negotiations, and managing supplier relationships. The role will involve helping to implement cost-effective and efficient procurement strategies, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations, and analyzing market trends to drive continuous improvement. The candidate will also work closely with cross-functional teams to support the company’s operational and strategic objectives. Knows the Air & Ocean freight ecosystem inside out. Has strong negotiation power with airlines, shipping lines & global partners. Can drive cost optimization without compromising service quality. Thinks beyond buying someone who builds long-term supplier value.


Qualifications

  • Expertise in Supplier Evaluation and Procurement processes
  • Proven proficiency in Contract Negotiation and Contract Management
  • Strong Analytical Skills to assess market trends and drive cost-efficient procurement strategies
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders
  • Ability to lead and manage procurement projects, ensuring compliance with regulatory and organizational standards
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; a relevant advanced degree or certification (e.g., CPM, CSCP) is a plus
  • Experience in logistics or supply chain management industries is highly advantageous
  • Proficiency in procurement software and data analysis tools
