Senior Project Manager – Engineering Services

About the Role

Join us as a Senior Project Manager – Engineering Services and play a pivotal role in driving global engineering project execution from a GCC environment. You will lead end‑to‑end engineering project coordination, manage onshore–offshore interfaces, and oversee delivery of engineering work packages across multidisciplinary teams. The role demands strong expertise in project management, engineering operations, stakeholder communication, and supplier coordination, along with the ability to build and lead hybrid global teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the primary coordination point between global onshore engineering teams and GCC engineering teams in India.
• Manage end‑to‑end engineering work packages, including cost control, schedule management, documentation, and milestone tracking.
• Lead hybrid engineering teams (internal GCC staff + external partners), ensuring high performance, capability development, and delivery excellence.
• Break down large engineering projects into well‑defined work packages supported by discipline leads.
• Drive engineering project coordination, interface alignment, and structured communication across global cross‑functional teams.
• Manage QA/QC activities, supplier expediting, and delivery follow‑ups to ensure compliance and timely execution.
• Oversee engineering documentation, process standards, governance, and alignment with corporate requirements.
• Identify and implement continuous improvements to enhance engineering delivery efficiency and operating model maturity.
• Support stakeholder management, risk mitigation, escalation handling, and project governance.
• Travel internationally for engineering reviews, project alignment, and coordination with global teams.

Required Skills

• Extensive experience in engineering project management within petrochemical, process, or industrial engineering sectors.
• Strong understanding of engineering project lifecycle, cost and schedule management, work package planning, and documentation practices.
• Hands‑on capability in managing global onshore–offshore engineering delivery models.
• Excellent leadership, mentoring, and team‑building skills for hybrid teams.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills across global, multicultural environments.
• Proficiency in project management methodologies and engineering coordination workflows.
• Ability to manage QA/QC processes, expediting activities, supplier interactions, and technical documentation.

Nice to Have

• Experience working in a Global Capability Center (GCC), Global In‑house Center (GIC), or offshore engineering model.
• Exposure to supplier management, claim handling, and contract‑related workflows.
• Experience in operational excellence initiatives or engineering process improvement.
• Familiarity with tools used for engineering project execution, document control, and reporting.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Process Engineering , or a related discipline.
• 15+ years of experience in engineering project management and global engineering delivery.
• Proven success in delivering complex, large‑scale, international engineering projects.
